FAQs

Quick answers to help you prepare for your first visit.

Do I need to print the forms before my appointment?
Printing and completing the forms ahead of time is recommended because it helps your first visit move faster. If you can’t print them, you can complete them when you arrive—just plan to come early.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Please bring your completed forms (if printed), a photo ID, your dental insurance card (if applicable), and a current list of medications and supplements.
How does insurance payment work?
Your estimated portion is based on benefit verification and is an estimate. Any remaining balance after your insurance processes the claim is your responsibility. If benefits can’t be verified before your appointment, payment may be due in full and reimbursement would occur after the insurer pays.
Can I cancel by email?
No—email is not accepted for appointment cancellations per the office policy. Please call the office to make changes.
What is the cancellation / no-show policy?
If you have an unforeseen conflict, please contact the office at least 2 business days prior to your reserved time when possible. Missed appointments or confirmed no-shows may incur a fee (the policy lists a $50 charge and may apply a $50/hour reserved time fee).
How often should I have a dental exam and cleaning?
Most patients should have their teeth checked and cleaned at least twice per year, though your dentist or hygienist may recommend more frequent visits based on your needs.
How often should I brush and floss?
Brush at least twice daily (especially before bed) and floss daily to disrupt plaque colonies between teeth and under the gumline. If you have difficulty with traditional floss, ask us about floss holders and other aids.
What should I do if I have bad breath?
Many factors can contribute, but tongue bacteria is a common source. Brush your tongue (or use a tongue scraper), keep up with brushing/flossing, stay hydrated, and maintain regular cleanings. If bad breath persists, we can help identify the cause.
